Goltis

Professional traveler? Adventurer? Untiring romantic? Strong Orthodox believer and Warrior of the Light? Poet? Photo and video artist? Champion and coach of champions? Former prisoner of Iranian condemned cell? Gifted darling of fortune?

As it often happens to men, the story started from the girl Goltis used to sympathize with. But she doubted his manhood.  “Why, you are so emaciated, a real skeleton!..” – Goltis was only 9 at that time. Since that time he became interested in physiology, biomechanics and biology. He set a target for himself: to build his body on his own.

Goltis was born in 1960. At the age of 10 he started practicing Asian martial arts. In 1976 he won the title “Mister Apollo” at the European contest held in Barcelona.

Then he did military service in Special Forces, where he did learn how to survive in extreme conditions. Life on the brink of death becomes a profession for some time, and then turns out to be an ineradicable habit. At that time he met the Master who turned his ideas about martial arts and human potential.

After the army he participated in closed Asian martial arts competitions (he ranked first in Asia full-contact championship for three times, 1981 to 1983). Black belt, 2nd Dan (misu-dzyu-ryu style).

He broke the backbone when he was 25. There was a chance not to survive or to become disabled. 1.5 months later he successfully passed his institute exams, which included such gymnastic apparatuses as balances, horizontal bars and rings. The main rehabilitation principles he tested on himself in critical situation underlay the author method of enzymatic and hormonal centers activation, the Healing Impulse. Worked with disabled children the official medicine believed to be hopeless. And did it rather successfully.

Then came years of even more purposeful study of human body potential. The years were also marked by the beginning of fasting practices and traveling. He traveled through the Crimea, Carpathian Mountains, Altay, Tien Shan, Ural, Baikal, Pamir, Caucasus, Sayan Mountains. In the Caucasus he met a wise man that devolved him his knowledge about herbs and correct body filling with vital force and energy.

Goltis graduated from the Kiev State Institute for Physical Culture. He won the title of master of sports in boxing during the first year of the military service, when he did 43 fights in series without being defeated and won the Boxing Championship among all kinds of forces of the USSR, managing to avoid getting his nose broken, and after that he was granted a pre-term Christmas leave.

He mastered folk medicine, anatomy, biochemistry and Chinese medicine. Author of acting training techniques for survival in extreme conditions for divisions of Special Forces. Trained world champions in bodybuilding: Sergey Otrokh, 65 kg (Men’s Championship, 1994) and Valentina Chepiga, 57 kg (Women’s Championship, 1996).

In 1996 he traveled through Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. Fasted for 54 days.

In 1998 he made a bike trip through Africa (2.5 months): SAR, Swaziland, Botswana, NamibiaMozambique and Lesotho. 8,000 km total. The Kalahari desert (850 km). In 3 month Goltis and his friend crossed the Kalahari desert with only 2.5 kg of food and 7 l of water per person.

Since 2000 he has been traveling as a member of the EQUITES team. As of today, he has made 9 expeditions to Africa and drew attention of the Guinness World Records representatives for a number of times.

Author of documentary firms, including “Africa: Way To Yourself”, 1998.

Since February 2006 he started giving seminars on author training and rehabilitation technique the Healing Impulse. Goltis’s recipes are rather simple: open heart, physical activity, healthy diet, fasting and psychological grounding.

Malnutrition, laziness, absence of motivation and physical activity, and – the most essential thing – Faith: these are primary weak points of modern people, which pay for them with illnesses and decay… But our organism is so wise, that at any age and in any condition hopeless as it might seem, any human being has a chance to change everything – a chance, granted by the God. Goltis happened to be a witness and a participant of such “ordinary miracles” for a number of times. The Healing Impulse is going on…

God suggests what’s the best... All our life is a sequence of trials, which result in realization.  And if something outstandingly bad happened to you, and you are giving up – it is not clever to ask “Why?”

The right question is “What for?” Any challenge is always a chance. God does not punish us, but just lets us learn. Had I treated the situation in Iran in 1997 in a different way, we wouldn’t be talking with you right now…
